초심자들에게는 OS X  자체를 사용할 수 있다는 점에서 놀라울 수도 있지만 시스템 전문가입장에서는 다음과 같이 면멸히 분석해 볼 필요가 있다.

어떤 업자는 심지어는 Retail OS X 로 설치할 수 있다고 하며 해킨토시가 아닌 맥 시스템이라며 버젓이 판매를 하는 경우도 있다.

아시다시피 intel CPU가 발표된 이후  Maxxuss 가 최초로 해킹을 하여 해킨토시를 가능하게 한 이후로 해킨토시는 여러가지 방향으로 발전되어 왔다.

그냥 단순히 설치가 잘 되고 겉으로만 잘 돌아가는 것이 아닌 다음과 같이 각 기능들을 면밀히 살펴 볼때, 어떤 방법을 동원하여도 Real Mac 의 기능을 가져올 수 없는 시스템이 있는가 하면 어떤 보드인 경우 아무런 작업을 하지 않아도 그냥 native 하게 지원이 되는 보드가 있기도 하다.

또, 이런 기능들이 향후 OS X 버전, 즉, Lion을 지원할 수 있는냐 없느냐의 관건이 되기도 한다.

물론, 이러한 점을 감안하여 해킨토시 개발자들은 관련 드라이버를 이 순간에도 개발하고 있기는 하지만 하드웨어적으로 지원이 안되는 기능을 소프트웨어적으로 구현하기란 쉽지 않으며 대다수 포기를 해야 하는 기능이 많다.

따라서, 이미 보드를 보유하고 있다면 어쩔 수 없이 인젝션 또는 에뮬레이션 할 수 있는 방법(드라이버 등)등을 찾아보아야 하겠지만, 새로이 보드를 구매해야 한다면 이러한 사항을 충분히 인지하고 구매를 하는 것이 좋다.  어설프게 순진한 똥개의 갈색눈동자를 가진 용산업자가 짖는다고 아무런 생각없이 따르기에는 이제 우리 사용자들도 너무나 현명해졌다는 점에서 이 시대의 아픔이 발생하는 것이다.  구타 유발자들이 짖으면 짖는대로 그냥 살짝 무시해주고 정확한 정보를 가지고 현명한 대처를 할 수 있는 전문가들이 이제는 너무나 많아졌다는 애기이다.

It is seen from this table that each brand has its strengths and weaknesses.

If you're scared or unsure about editing the DSDT for energy management and the processor, the MSI are relatively strong on this point.

Gigabyte and ASUS, you can benefit from data that does not appear in this picture: the support of the community, since these cards are widely used, with certain advantage for a Gigabyte that will rate compatibility close to perfection if they are well patched.

각사의 장단점을 알 수 있지만 만약 에너지 관리를 위한  DSDT 수정에 익숙하지 않다면 MSI보드를 강력하게 추천한다.  DSDT 수정할 필요가 없이 기본적으로 지원되니까,,,,

Gigabyte 와 ASUS는 이 그림에서는 별다른 이점이 보이질 않지만, Gigabyte보드는 제대로 정확하게 패치만 할 수 있다면 호환성 면에서 거의 완벽에 가깝게 할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있다.  아주 드물기는 하지만,,,,

In conclusion, we could say that every time his mother cards: If Asus were the "queens" with Tiger and Leopard early, became the Gigabytes (especially with P35/P45 Chipset) the "Must Have" for Leopard.

결론적으로, ASUS사 제품이 타이거와 레오파드버전에서는 퀸이었다면 P35/P45  칩셋에서는 단연 기가바이트 보드라고 할 수 있다. 다만, 제대로 패치를 해야 한다는 단점이 있긴 하지만 ,,,,

This is because of the fact that MSI, and especially Apple, better meet the ACPI specification.
