NEW Intel P55 Mobos & Core i7 860 / i5 750 CPU LGA1156 with Vanilla(10.6.2)

Yea, it's working with Vanilla Kernel(10.6.2 10C535).
You don't need Voodoo based 9.8.0 kernel (Qoopz) any more.

As you know, it just Developer Preview version.

Hmm, 10.6.2 just released in Nov-11. and these article is not any more latest news.

I have to keep this article for a while, it's just normal procedure of make a security.

But, it's not security any more, as you know.

II. The Procedure of installation, ASUS P7P55D is also similar.

1. Requirement: Voodoo base 9.8.0 (Qoopz) / 10.5.6 Retail / Boot-132 / chameleon boot loader / dsmos.kext (10.5.8), 

2. 10.5.6 Retail DVD Image with voodoo Kernel.

3. Boot-132 or Chameleon for Booting.

4. As you know, vanilla kernel does not work until 10.6.2 

5. S-ATA Mode change to AHCI. 

6. Boot-132 

7. Need boot option to install as following. 

8. "busratio = 20"needed,  it sometimes need "cpus = 1"
 
9. After installing, need to replace the existing mach_kernerl with Voodoo Kernel. 

PS: 1. Basically the main board support the internal LAN card, Realtek 8111D.  

2. Audio is ALC888. Apple + HDApatch ALC888.txt. 

3. EFI-String for graphics card. 

4. Rebooting Issue should be resolved by OpenHaltRestart.kext. 

4. I recommend you install 10.6.2, Snow Leopard.
