Leopard on Dell XPS 420

1) Installed Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd.iso. with no graphics drivers selected and did the graphics movevideodrivers fix on boot up

2) downloaded lastExile's 2600xt installer right here: ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x (Current 10.5.6) - InsanelyMac Forum
he also has alot of good ati drivers which install without you having to edit plist's

2b) also check out ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x (Current 10.5.6) - InsanelyMac Forum if you want to try and install more stable natit drivers.

3) found and downloaded the much eluded Intel82566MM.kext, which should be easy to find now. Installed that using kext helper b7 (just cus everytime i installed kexts i got errors)

4) found and downloaded AppleHDAPatcher v1.20 from a forum that came with my Sigmatel codec and did the "Drag codec onto the patcher"
(note: audio resets or restart, so not TOTALLY stable lol)

5) smiled

Update !!

have to disable IDE Controller and connect Sata 160GB Drive on first Sata Controller while LG DVD Drive on second Sata controller to get rid of "waiting for root device" issue.
